As Moms4mom is really worthful and interesting for me i would like to explain the concept of it to my fellow neighbors....

What I found is that just by googling, you get a lot of contradicting answers. Also, you would not believe how many fanatic and other nutjob sites are out there promoting their agenda. I found moms4mom a highly useful site to profit from the experience from parents around the world, as well as get answers with some scientific backup (the "back-it-up-principle" is really useful in most cases) Plus, you usually get very high quality answers within 24 hours. |

I would just lead them to the site, ask them to look around or better still you could guide them around and then answer any questions they may have with brandstaetter s reply to your question. Additionally, if they are new parents they can benefit from the information already on the site, if they are already parents and have a wealth of experience and do things differently and would like to share their knowledge on parenting, then this site is probably just the thing for them. |

I would explain by saying that Moms4mom.com is a place where expecting, new, and experienced parents can go to ask questions and share their experiences with other parents. It is a way avoid sifting through all the contradictory infomation out there by "polling" the group. It also has the back-it-up requiring people to state where the obtained their information be it personal experience, their doctor, a peer reviewed study, or an article they read somewhere. |

I have explained it as a website where parents and soon-to-be parents can ask questions and share their experiences. The site is different from most parenting web forums, and is focused on eliciting useful, well-reasoned answers from the community of parents who frequent the site, and does a terrific job avoiding the emotional battles and flame wars that often occur on other parenting sites between parents of differing styles and philosophies. This is accomplished by employing "be polite" and "back-it-up" policies that are well enforced by the community. As users contribute useful information that is recognized and voted up by the community, they earn reputation points that accumulate to allow access to moderation tools. That's really good. May have to quote you on that some time. ;)
